Terms of Use

By downloading, installing, or using Scribossauro, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, do not use the app. Continued use of Scribossauro after changes to the terms constitutes acceptance of the new conditions.

Scribossauro is a desktop application for Windows and Linux that records, transcribes, and summarizes meetings and audio calls. Audio processing occurs locally on your device — raw audio is never sent to external servers without your explicit consent.

Additional features — such as cloud sync and AI assistant — are available on paid plans and involve data transmission as described in our Privacy Policy.

We offer the following plans:

• Velociraptor (Free) — 15 minutes of transcription per month, at no cost.
• Iguanodon ($19.90/mo) — 300 monthly transcription minutes and cloud sync.
• T-Rex ($49.90/mo) — 600 monthly minutes, cloud sync, and AI assistant in all sessions.
• Pterossauro ($5.99 one-time) — 60 transcription minutes and AI assistant in one session, no subscription.

Subscriptions are billed monthly and automatically renewed until cancelled. Unused minutes in a month do not carry over to the next period. Refunds are evaluated on a case-by-case basis and must be requested within 7 calendar days of the charge.

Scribossauro captures audio from the system or microphone exclusively during sessions initiated by the user. You are responsible for:

• Obtaining consent from all participants before recording a meeting, as required by applicable law (including LGPD in Brazil, GDPR in Europe).
• Handling generated transcriptions with the care that confidential information demands.
• Not using the app to record conversations without the knowledge of participants.

Scribossauro does not store your recordings on our servers. Transcriptions are saved locally on your device, except when you enable cloud sync.

You may use Scribossauro for legitimate personal and professional purposes. Prohibited uses include:

• Recording conversations without participant consent.
• Using the app for illegal purposes or to violate third-party rights.
• Attempting to reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the software.
• Reselling, sublicensing, or redistributing the software or access credentials.
• Using automated means to abuse plan transcription limits.

Scribossauro — including code, design, brand, and documentation — is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. The content of generated transcriptions belongs to you. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the software in accordance with these terms.

Scribossauro is provided "as is". We do not guarantee 100% accuracy in transcriptions — results vary depending on audio quality, accent, background noise, and language.

Under no circumstances shall we be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the service, including data loss or decisions made based on incorrect transcriptions.

You may cancel your account at any time in the app's settings. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. After cancellation, your local data remains on your device; cloud data is deleted within 30 days.

We may update these terms periodically. When there are relevant changes, we will notify you by email or by notice within the app itself at least 15 days in advance. Continued use after that period constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
